Emotion Regulation Skills equip us with what we need during times that we are faced with the potential of being overwhelmed with emotion. It is difficult to have clarity of mind when we are ready to fight, take flight, or flee the scene because our nervous systems are flooded with messages that we are in danger. The following set of skills helps us to restore balance so that we are back in the driver’s seat of our experience, more emotionally regulated.
